Iranian President Calls for Islamic Coalition to Rebuild Gaza

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged Islamic nations to form an international coalition to aid in the reconstruction of Gaza, which has suffered extensive devastation due to Israel’s military operations.

“Islamic countries will definitely be able to rebuild Gaza together and restore life to the Muslim people of this region,” Pezeshkian stated on Saturday, as he hosted members of Hamas’ Shura Council, including its chairman Muhammad Ismail Darwish.

The Iranian president commended the Palestinian people for what he described as their resistance against Israel, asserting that they had successfully prevented the Israeli government from achieving its military objectives in Gaza. He reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance movement, expressing confidence that it would ultimately achieve victory.

“We are certain of the final victory of the resistance, as God Almighty has promised in the Holy Quran,” Pezeshkian said.

During the meeting, a Hamas official expressed gratitude to Iran and other regional resistance groups for their support. He emphasized that the Palestinian resistance movement, strengthened by ongoing assistance, is now preparing to take its struggle to the next phase, which he described as the complete liberation of Palestinian land.

The Hamas representative also dismissed U.S. and Israeli proposals regarding Gaza’s future, including reported plans for the resettlement of its residents. “The future of Gaza belongs to its people,” he stated, adding that governance in the region will be established through joint national cooperation among Palestinians.
