Iranian President, Omani Foreign Minister Meet to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Regional Stability

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday received Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, during the latter’s official visit to Iran.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed greetings and best wishes from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Pezeshkian and the Iranian people. In response, President Pezeshkian asked the Omani foreign minister to extend his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman.
The discussion highlighted the depth of the strong bilateral relations between Iran and Oman and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields to serve the mutual interests of the two countries and strengthen the foundations of good neighborliness.
The meeting also addressed regional security and stability issues. Both sides emphasized the importance of fostering an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the region and reaffirmed diplomatic engagement as the principal approach to addressing current challenges. They noted that such approaches contribute to reducing tensions, preserving state sovereignty, and consolidating regional peace.
President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Oman’s constructive role in supporting efforts aimed at achieving balanced understandings to enhance regional stability. In turn, Sayyid Badr thanked President Pezeshkian and the Iranian leadership for their support in advancing negotiations focused on promoting peace and reinforcing the pillars of security and stability in the region and globally.
