Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Discusses Israeli Actions with Belgian Counterpart
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran’s acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, discussed the recent aggressive and terrorist actions of the Zionist regime during a phone call with Belgian Foreign Minister Haja Lahbib on Saturday night. Bagheri Kani highlighted the ongoing crimes and acts of genocide committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza over the past ten months, noting significant incidents that have destabilized the West Asia region.
During the conversation, Bagheri Kani condemned the targeting of a school in Gaza, where innocent people were killed while praying, as well as attacks on a residential area in Beirut, and the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to take legitimate and decisive action against Israeli aggressors to defend its national security, territorial integrity, and sovereignty, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
Belgian Foreign Minister Haja Lahbib expressed deep concern over the dangerous situation in West Asia, stressing that the deteriorating circumstances could lead to a full-scale war if not controlled. Lahbib expressed support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and condemned the settlement-building activities of the Zionist regime. She also emphasized Belgium’s commitment to the rights of Palestinian refugees and the imposition of sanctions against extremist Zionist settlers.
