Iran’s Kerman Tragedy: 103 Lives Lost and 141 Injured in Devastating Explosions
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Two explosions disrupted the solemn commemoration of General Qassem Soleimani’s fourth martyrdom anniversary in Kerman, where numerous individuals had gathered to pay their respects.
The first blast occurred 700 meters away from the revered Martyr’s tomb, followed by a second explosion one kilometer distant. The force of the explosions prompted mourners to disperse from Kerman’s cemetery, with ambulances swiftly transporting the injured to local hospitals.
As reported by Reza Fallah, the head of Kerman province’s Red Crescent, 141 individuals have been admitted for treatment thus far. The cause of the explosions remains under investigation, with officials probing whether it resulted from a gas cylinder mishap or potentially constituted a deliberate act of terrorism, as confirmed by a local security official.
