Israeli Air Strike in Central Gaza Kills Dozens, Including Women and Children

Gaza, The Gulf Observer: An overnight Israeli air strike in central Gaza has resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians, predominantly women and children, amidst ongoing internal disagreements among Israeli leaders over Gaza’s governance following the eight-month-long war.

The air strike targeted Nuseirat, a densely populated Palestinian refugee camp in central Gaza, claiming 27 lives, including 10 women and seven children. This grim tally was confirmed by records at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in nearby Deir al-Balah, which received the bodies.

Additionally, a separate strike on a street in Nuseirat killed five people, as reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent emergency service. In Deir al-Balah, another strike led to the deaths of Zahed al-Houli, a senior police officer, and another individual, according to hospital sources.

The Civil Defense reported that multiple homes near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya were hit, resulting in at least 10 fatalities. Concurrently, in the urban Jabaliya refugee camp nearby, residents experienced a heavy barrage of artillery and air strikes.

This latest escalation has exacerbated the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, raising urgent calls for international intervention and a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
