Israeli Army Orders Evacuation of Former ‘Safe Zone’ in Khan Younis

Gaza, The Gulf Observer: The Israeli army has issued an order for residents of the Al Jalaa neighborhood in Khan Younis to evacuate, despite the area having been previously designated as a “safe humanitarian zone” by the army. According to an official statement, the Al Jalaa neighborhood will no longer be considered part of the humanitarian zone due to claims that the Palestinian resistance group Hamas is operating from the area, making it a “dangerous combat zone.”

The Israeli army’s designation of certain areas as “safe” has come under scrutiny, as previous instances have seen these zones subjected to heavy bombardment, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties.
