Israeli Forces Raid Tulkarem and Balata Refugee Camp in Occupied West Bank
Tulkarem, The Gulf Observer: Israeli occupation forces carried out raids on the city of Tulkarem and the Balata refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank early today, according to the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.
The raids in Tulkarem began shortly after midnight, with several military vehicles, accompanied by two heavy bulldozers, entering the city from the west. In the Al-Alemi area, Israeli forces began demolishing infrastructure as a surveillance drone flew at a low altitude over the city, Wafa reported.
Simultaneously, Israeli forces raided the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, with a military bulldozer, sparking clashes with Palestinian resistance forces. Eyewitnesses confirmed that confrontations erupted between local residents and Israeli troops at the entrance to the camp.
Videos shared by activists on social media showed Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers moving through the streets during the raids, capturing the tense atmosphere on the ground.
These raids come amid ongoing escalations in the West Bank, further intensifying tensions in the region. No immediate reports of casualties were available at the time of reporting.
