Minsk, The Gulf Observer: Jantoro Mirzaliev from Kyrgyzstan emerged victorious in the 67 kg weight category at the prestigious Oleg Karavaev Memorial Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournament in Minsk, Belarus. The Wrestling Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that Mirzaliev demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition, which began on November 29.

Mirzaliev advanced from the 1/8 finals, winning three consecutive rounds to secure his place in the final. He claimed gold after defeating Igor Punchenko of Russia with a decisive 4:0 victory.

In the 55 kg category, fellow Kyrgyz wrestler Nurbolot Berdikulov also reached the final. Despite a strong performance, Berdikulov fell short in a closely contested match against Alibek Amirov of Russia, finishing with a score of 4:7, earning the silver medal.

The success of Mirzaliev and Berdikulov highlights Kyrgyzstan’s rising prominence in the international Greco-Roman wrestling scene, with both athletes showcasing resilience and talent on the global stage.
