Thailand Hosts 14th Greenovative Forum on Sustainable Energy and AI

Bangkok, The Gulf Observer: Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited of Thailand, in partnership with The Standard news agency, hosted the 14th Greenovative Forum under the theme “Crafting Tomorrow’s Future with Sustainable Energy and AI” at True Digital Park West. The event, commemorating Bangchak’s 40th anniversary, gathered over 600 participants, including local and international experts, to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in driving sustainable energy, societal progress, and environmental solutions.

The forum was officially inaugurated by Mr. Prasong Poontaneat, Acting Chairperson of Bangchak’s Board of Directors, with a keynote address by Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group CEO and President of Bangchak. In his presentation “AI, Energy, and Environment,” Mr. Chaiwat emphasized AI’s potential to enhance operational efficiency while addressing its significant energy demands. He introduced the innovative DNA Data Storage concept, a cutting-edge alternative to traditional data centers, offering substantial energy and environmental benefits.

A Fireside Chat on “Living Sustainably with AI” featured Mr. Nakarin Wonkijpaiboon (Ken), CEO and Editor-in-Chief of The Standard, alongside insights from Ms. Chayanid Kovavisarach, Senior Consultant for Net Zero at ERM, United Kingdom. Ms. Chayanid highlighted AI’s transformative impact on addressing social inequality, environmental challenges, and human development, stressing the need for strategic governance.

The forum also included a presentation titled “Tomorrow’s Innovations Today” by Mr. Carlos Aggio of Accenture (Singapore), focusing on AI-driven technological advancements supporting sustainable energy.

Two dynamic panel discussions followed:

“Smart Solutions for Everyday Wellness” featured Professor Suchatvee Suwansawat, Chairman of CMKL University, and Mr. Gorn Wannapairote, medical student and member of PROXIE Boy Group, who discussed AI’s applications in medicine and public health.
“Forward-Looking Organisations: Efficiency Meets Intelligence” included Ms. Oranuch Lerdsuwankij, CEO of Techsauce Media, and Dr. Virot Chiraphadhanakul, Managing Director of Skooldio, who explored how AI is reshaping business processes and enhancing workforce potential.
The event concluded with a visionary presentation by Dr. Pat Pataranutaporn from MIT Media Lab, emphasizing the seamless integration of human and AI capabilities in shaping future generations.
