Japanese Minister of Justice Keisuke Suzuki Visits Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Justice and Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan, Keisuke Suzuki, paid an official visit to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, Minister Suzuki held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva. The two sides engaged in a constructive dialogue focused on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.

Special emphasis was placed on enhancing inter-parliamentary dialogue as a key element in strengthening bilateral relations. Both parties underscored the importance of revitalizing the activities of the Japan–Uzbekistan Friendship Groups and establishing regular communication between parliamentary committees. They also highlighted the mutual benefit of exchanging experience in the fields of lawmaking, parliamentary oversight, and the functions of regional representative bodies.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Japan to deepening friendly relations and expanding practical cooperation across a range of sectors. Both sides expressed confidence that sustained dialogue and collaboration at the parliamentary level would contribute significantly to the strategic partnership between the two nations.
