K-Pop concert in Qatar postponed
Doha, The Gulf Observer: Organizers of the K.One Festa Qatar 2023 announced that the concert set to take place this month has been postponed.
“We deeply apologize for the delay of K.ONE FESTA QATAR 2023 that was scheduled to take place in Qatar on May 19th and 20th,” said the organizers in an announcement.
Meanwhile, it also affirmed that it plans to re-organize the concert for the fourth quarter of this year. A new date for the event will be announced on its official Instagram account.
“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we felt that we may not be able to deliver the high-quality experience that we had planned for. We assure that we will diligently work to ensure that we accept your opinions as much as possible and come back with better organization,” said K.One Festa.
Fans who purchased tickets through Virgin Tickets and Q-Tickets have begun receiving emails informing them of the concert’s postponement. Some people took to social media to confirm the message.
Tickets purchased by K-Pop fans in Qatar will be reimbursed in full. The organizers stated that automatic refunds will be made according to the procedure of the platform where tickets were bought. This also applies to those who purchased through the student discount website.
K.One Festa further mentioned that “when the new date is announced, discounts and pre-purchase benefits will be provided to those who purchased tickets during this time.”
K.One Festa Qatar 2023, the first K-Pop festival in the country, was slated to be held on May 19 and 20 with a line-up of renowned bands and soloist. To be held at Lusail Multipurpose Hall, the event was scheduled to welcome groups like iKON, ATEEZ, SF9, EVERGLOW, and more. Soloists such as BamBam from GOT7 and Sunmi were also scheduled to perform.
