Katara launches short story contest

Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, announced the launch of the annual Katara Short Story Competition, with the theme “Environmental Sustainability.”
Katara said the theme was chosen to give importance to environmental sustainability in avoiding depletion or degradation of natural resources and maintaining long-term environmental quality.
The story should not be less than 1,500 words and not over 5,000 words, must be in Arabic language and sentence structure must be correct. Also, the story should not be previously published in any form of media, or won any award before.
There is no age restriction for participants, and the contestant has the right to participate in only one story. Individuals who want to participate must send their articles in Microsoft Word programme to story@kataraquran.com.
Moreover, the attached files should have a recent coloured photo of the participant, and their profile including name, address, phone number, e-mail address, date and place of birth.
