Katara Summer Camp receives wide praises
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Katara Summer Camp has received wide praise from parents, as they expressed their satisfaction with the programme offered by the camp, which they considered a great way for children to remain active and involved.
The summer camp is full of activities and educational workshops that children enjoy, explore and learn new things such as information and sports, which gives them an exciting, fun and rewarding experience.
The camp administration has prepared an integrated programme with the participation of a number of entities, namely the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the Qatari Red Crescent, the Al Jazeera Media Institute, the Nomas Center, and the Shooting Club. Where all these parties provide training and awareness workshops that enrich the knowledge of the participants.
Among them are workshops on the etiquette of the Majlis and the Qatari Arda, which were presented by the Nomas Center through qualified Qatari trainers with the ability and experience, to prepare a generation characterised by authentic Islamic and Arab values and behaviors, and to preserve the authentic habits of the Qatari society.
The participation of the General Directorate of Civil Defense comes within the framework of the Safe Summer 2023 initiative or accidents in the summer season, which it presents as part of its awareness plan for this year, as well as for the Qatari Red Crescent, which provided workshops aimed at introducing the participants in the camp to the basics of first aid and sound health rules.
The Al Jazeera Media Institute, within the framework of the Al Jazeera Ambassadors initiative, provided various workshops that focused on developing the cultural and technical skills of the participants.
This is in addition to visits to the Al-Mahmil Museum, Al-Qannas Association, and the Al Thuraya Planetarium in Katara.
At the end of the third week, the camp administration honoured the 41 participants, in addition to the winners in the football, beach volleyball, throwing and running competitions.
It is worth noting that the Katara Summer Camp continues its activities until August 15, on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays every week in the southern side of Katara for children from 10 to 13 years old.
