Kazakh and Estonian Presidents Address Business Forum in Astana

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan and Alar Karis of Estonia addressed the Kazakh–Estonian Business Forum in Astana, highlighting strong prospects for expanding bilateral economic cooperation, the Akorda press service reported.
In his remarks, President Tokayev stressed that the forum — attended by leading business representatives from both countries — would help accelerate collaboration in trade and investment. He outlined several promising areas for mutually beneficial partnership, including transport and logistics, digitalisation, agriculture, industry, finance and education.
The Kazakh leader reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to provide full support to Estonian companies seeking to expand their presence in the country, noting that the Government remains committed to fostering a favourable investment climate.
Estonian President Alar Karis also addressed the forum, emphasising that he sees substantial potential for enhancing bilateral economic ties and encouraging closer cooperation between the two business communities.
Major Agreements Signed
On the sidelines of the Business Forum, companies from both countries signed 11 agreements valued at more than US$517 million, marking a significant step toward deepening economic engagement.
The event followed a narrow-format meeting between the two presidents held on November 17 at Akorda, during which they discussed strengthening political, economic and cultural cooperation.
Both leaders expressed confidence that the outcomes of the forum and newly signed agreements would inject fresh momentum into Kazakhstan–Estonia relations and open new avenues for long-term partnership.
