Kazakhstan and Belarus Strengthen Trade and Industrial Cooperation

Astana, The Gulf Observer: During Kazakhstan’s trade and economic mission in Minsk, the Kazakh National Association of Oilseed Processors (NAOPK) and Belarusian company Dary Polej Plus signed a $5 million contract, the Ministry of Trade reported. The agreement, focused on purchasing products from Kazakh manufacturers, emerged as the primary outcome of business negotiations between the two countries.
Alongside this contract, several additional documents were signed to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation. A cooperation memorandum between QazTrade and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, enable Kazakh companies’ participation in exchange trading, promote the development of electronic platforms, and organize joint events. The Belarusian exchange is the largest in the region, handling over 500,000 transactions valued at more than $4 billion annually.
Another memorandum, concluded between QazTrade and Belarus’s National Marketing Center, establishes plans to share market analytics, support product promotion, jointly identify partners, and conduct business missions and training programs. These initiatives are designed to simplify Kazakh producers’ access to the Belarusian market and strengthen structured collaboration between companies.
Industrial cooperation also featured prominently during the discussions. Currently, 11 joint projects are underway, covering the production of tractors, agricultural machinery, vehicles, and elevators. In Minsk, both sides explored new collaboration opportunities, including the potential assembly of mining dump trucks, partnerships in the construction sector, and agro-industrial initiatives such as the development of commercial dairy farms.
Further agreements were reached by the business communities of both countries. AstanaInzhKomStroy signed a memorandum with Izokom Plast on product supplies and establishing joint production of reinforced pipes in Kazakhstan. Arbs Wine is negotiating with Bulbash Winery on Kazakh wine exports, with an export contract currently under preparation. In addition to the $5 million deal, NAOPK signed a cooperation memorandum with PrimeFortGroup LLC.
These agreements underscore the growing economic partnership between Kazakhstan and Belarus, reflecting a shared commitment to trade, industry, and market integration.
