Kazakhstan and South Africa Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Cape Town, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to South Africa, Yerkin Akhinzhanov, held productive discussions with South Africa’s parliamentary leaders, Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane, and Speaker of the National Assembly Angela Thokozile Didiza, the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the meetings, Ambassador Akhinzhanov highlighted key reforms and initiatives led by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Kazakhstan, emphasizing the country’s commitment to deepening its relationship with South Africa. He proposed enhanced cooperation in key areas such as the economy, trade, and education, while also stressing the importance of strengthening the contractual and legal frameworks to ensure sustainable and long-term collaboration between the two nations.

The South African parliamentary leaders expressed their interest in expanding ties with Kazakhstan, recognizing the significant potential for both countries to embark on joint projects in various sectors. They emphasized the opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships and agreed on the importance of continuing dialogue to foster stronger inter-parliamentary cooperation.
