Kazakhstan, Hungary Discuss Cultural, Educational, and Economic Cooperation within Turkic States Framework

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev held official talks with Márton Ugrósdy, Deputy Secretary of State of the Prime Minister’s Office and Head of the Office of the Political Director of the Prime Minister of Hungary, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues related to cultural, humanitarian, and economic cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Particular attention was given to prospects for collaboration in higher education, science, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation.
Deputy Minister Bakayev, referencing the State-of-the-Nation Address by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on September 8, 2025, underscored Kazakhstan’s commitment to integrating AI into the national economy and expressed the country’s openness to cooperation in these strategic areas.
Deputy Secretary of State Ugrósdy highlighted the significant potential for collaboration between universities of OTS member states and stressed the coordinating role of the OTS Secretariat in facilitating academic and scientific exchanges.
On economic cooperation, the officials exchanged views on the development and strengthening of the Turkic Investment Fund and agreed to continue joint efforts to enhance economic ties among member states.
