Kazakhstani Runner Places Seventh in Women’s 200m Round 1 at Paris Olympics

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstani Runner Olga Safronova finished seventh in the Women’s 200m Round 1 – Heat 1 at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, reports NHC, citing the press service of the National Olympic Committee.

With a time of 23.58 seconds, Safronova completed the race in seventh place in her heat. She will have another chance to advance to the women’s 200m semi-finals through the repechage round.

Kazakhstan’s performance at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris has been commendable, with the nation securing four medals so far: one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Earlier in the Games, Kazakhstani gymnast Nariman Kurbanov earned a silver medal, contributing to the country’s medal tally.

The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which commenced on July 26, will continue until August 11. The event has drawn 10,500 athletes from 206 national Olympic committees. Team Kazakhstan is represented by 80 athletes competing in 25 sports.
