Kazakhstan’s flag raised at 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou
Hangzhou, The Gulf Observer: The ceremony of raising the Kazakhstani Flag which symbolizes the official arrival of the Kazakh team at the 2022 Asian Para Games took place in Hangzhou, China, on Saturday, according to media reports.
As the Ministry of Tourism and Sport informed, the national team reached the Asian Para Games safely. “Our athletes have successfully passed qualification and confirmed their sport class. Athletes’ qualification plays a key role in Paralympic sport, ensuring fair competition for all participants. We face an intense struggle for the medals, and we have worthy rivals,” Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee Yerlan Suleimenov says.
In his words, 131 athletes represent Kazakhstan in 14 sports at the 2022 Games , which is a record number for our country, compared to 94 athletes in 9 sports in the previous Asian Games.
“We hope that this year we will bring even more medals,” Suleimenov noted.
The IV Asian Para Games will bring together more than 4,000 athletes from 43 Asian countries, competing in 22 sports. The continental competition will be held from October 22 to 28, 2023.
