Adelaide, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s Alexander Shevchenko advanced to the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 Adelaide International in Australia after a convincing straight-sets victory on Wednesday, according to media reports.
In the round of 16, the Kazakhstani tennis player defeated Hungary’s Márton Fucsovics, the world No. 55, 6–3, 7–6, to continue his strong run in the tournament.
Shevchenko will next face France’s Ugo Humbert, currently ranked 36th in the world, with a place in the semifinals at stake.
