Kazakhstan’s Yevgeniy Koshkin Wins Gold at ISU Speed Skating World Cup

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Yevgeniy Koshkin secured a gold medal for Kazakhstan at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Heerenveen on Sunday, clocking an impressive 34.46 seconds in the men’s 500m race, Kazinform News Agency reported, citing the National Olympic Committee.

Canada’s Laurent Dubreuil finished closely behind with a time of 34.51 seconds, claiming the silver medal, while Dutch skater Jenning de Boo took bronze with a result of 34.52 seconds.

In another victory for Kazakhstan, Viktor Druzin earlier clinched gold in the Men’s Free Solo event at the opening leg of the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup in Paris, France.

These achievements mark a significant milestone for Kazakhstan’s athletes on the international stage, showcasing their excellence in both speed skating and artistic swimming.
