Khankendi Hosts Special Session on Azerbaijan’s Foreign Policy Post-Sovereignty Restoration

Khankendi, The Gulf Observer: The city of Khankendi hosted a special session as part of the 9th Meeting of Heads of Diplomatic Service Bodies under the theme “Azerbaijan’s Foreign Policy After the Restoration of Sovereignty: Priorities and Challenges.”
The event began with a tour of central Khankendi, during which officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, as well as the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, briefed participants on the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in the region.
Subsequently, the delegation visited Garabagh University, where the official session was convened. The high-level gathering brought together senior leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, heads of diplomatic missions and consulates accredited in the country, and representatives from the Presidential Special Representative Office in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly.
The discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s foreign policy direction in the wake of restored sovereignty, with an emphasis on national priorities, diplomatic challenges, and regional development strategies.
The session concluded with a cultural program featuring musical and artistic performances by academic staff and students from the Faculty of Arts at Garabagh University, showcasing the region’s cultural revival and academic potential.
