King Salman Issues Royal Orders Reshuffling Cabinet and Senior Officials

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Thursday issued a series of royal orders appointing and relieving several senior officials across ministerial, judicial, administrative and advisory positions, marking a significant reshuffle in the Kingdom’s leadership structure.
Under the royal decrees, Fahad Al-Saif was appointed Minister of Investment, replacing Khalid Al-Falih, who was named Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet.
In the judicial sphere, Attorney General Sheikh Saud Al-Muajab was relieved of his duties and appointed Advisor at the Royal Court with the rank of minister. Dr. Khalid Al-Yousuf was appointed the new Attorney General, while Sheikh Ali Al-Ohaideb was named President of the Board of Grievances.
Among regional appointments, Prince Fawaz bin Sultan was appointed Governor of Taif, replacing Prince Saud bin Nahar, who was named Deputy Emir of the Madinah Region with ministerial rank. Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah was appointed Deputy Emir of the Northern Borders Region.
Prince Rakan bin Salman was appointed Governor of Diriyah with ministerial rank, succeeding Prince Fahd bin Saad, who was named Deputy Emir of Al-Baha Region.
In other key changes, Deputy Minister of Tourism Princess Haifa bint Mohammed was relieved of her position and appointed Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. Prince Dr. Saad bin Saud was appointed Member of the Shoura Council.
Within the Interior Ministry, Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah was appointed Advisor to the Minister of Interior, while Mohammed Al-Muhanna was named Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations. Abdulaziz Al-Arifi was appointed Governor of the National Development Fund.
The King also appointed Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth as Deputy Minister of Media. Eng. Haitham Al-Ouhali was named Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission.
Director General of General Intelligence Ahmed Al-Issa was relieved of his duties at his own request due to health reasons. Faihan Al-Sahli was appointed as the new Director General of General Intelligence. Sulaiman Al-Qanas and Assaf Abu Thnain were appointed Advisors at the Royal Court.
Further appointments include Eng. Thamer Al-Harbi as Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Abdullah bin Fahd as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs, and Eng. Fawaz Al-Sahli as President of the Transport General Authority.
The royal orders also named Bader Al-Suwailem as Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Social Development, Abdulmohsen Al-Mazeed as Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dr. Saad Al-Harbi as Deputy Minister of Education for General Education, and Saad Al-Luhaidan as Advisor at the Office of the Head of Presidency of State Security.
Additionally, Maj. Gen. Khalid Al-Dhuwaibi was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed Deputy Commander of the Royal Guard, while Maj. Gen. Suleiman Al-Maiman was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
The sweeping changes underscore ongoing efforts to enhance governance structures and strengthen administrative performance across the Kingdom’s institutions.
