Kyrgyzstan’s Akylbek Zhaparov Emphasizes Economic Cooperation at OTS Meeting

Bishkek, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Zhaparov, held a high-level meeting with ministers of economy and trade from the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), according to the report of the News Hub Consultants via Kabar.

In his remarks, Zhaparov highlighted the growing economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and other OTS member states, noting that the country’s trade turnover with these nations has surged by nearly 62% in recent years. Exports from Kyrgyzstan increased by 54.6%, while imports rose by almost 66%, signaling a robust trend in economic collaboration.

“We are moving in the right direction, but we should not stop there. It is necessary to continue seeking new avenues for trade and economic cooperation,” Zhaparov remarked.

The Chairman emphasized the need to intensify joint efforts to further strengthen the economic potential of the OTS member countries. He called for enhanced cooperation, noting that such partnerships are key to unlocking greater prosperity for all involved.

Zhaparov concluded by expressing Kyrgyzstan’s openness to exploring new initiatives and ideas aimed at fostering deeper economic integration and mutual growth within the organization.

The Organization of Turkic States comprises countries that share historical, cultural, and linguistic ties, and it serves as a platform for enhancing political, economic, and cultural cooperation among its members.
