Lao PM arrives in Viet Nam
Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation, arrived in Hanoi on January 6 for a significant two-day official visit to Viet Nam. The visit, made at the invitation of Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, marks Sonexay Siphandone’s inaugural official visit to Viet Nam since assuming his new role.
The Lao Prime Minister’s itinerary includes participation in an official welcoming ceremony and substantive talks with Prime Minister Chinh.
Together, they will co-chair the 46th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Inter-Governmental Committee. During his stay in the capital, Sonexay Siphandone is set to engage in various meetings with Vietnamese leaders and participate in diverse activities.
The accompanying delegation comprises prominent Lao officials, including Deputy PM and Minister of National Defence General Chansamone Chanyalath and Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith, among others, reflecting the significance and breadth of the bilateral discussions.
