Largest-Ever Group of International Travelers Visits Karabakh and East Zangezur

East Zangezur

Aghdam, The Gulf Observer: A delegation of world-class international travelers has begun a landmark visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur, led by Harry Mitsidis, founder and head of the NomadMania club.

The group comprises 79 travelers from 37 countries, marking the largest international delegation to visit the regions to date.

Harry Mitsidis, a British citizen of Greek origin, currently holds the top global ranking in NomadMania’s system, having visited all 1,301 regions into which the platform divides the world.

The visit coincides with the hosting of NomadMania’s annual meeting in Azerbaijan for the first time, underscoring the country’s growing appeal among global travel communities.

The trip is considered significant for promoting the liberated territories of Karabakh and East Zangezur, particularly within the context of “dark tourism,” while offering participants firsthand insight into the extensive reconstruction and restoration efforts underway.

Between 2020 and 2025, international travel clubs organized 15 visits to these regions, with the current tour representing the 16th such initiative, reflecting sustained international interest in the area.
