Lulu Retail Opens First Store in Makkah, Marking Global Milestone with 250th Outlet

Makkah, The Gulf Observer: Lulu Retail has officially launched its first store in the holy city of Makkah, strategically located near Masjid Al Haram on Ibrahim Al-Khalil Street, Jabal Omar. This opening is a significant milestone, marking Lulu’s 250th store globally.

The store, designed to cater to the local community and millions of pilgrims visiting the holy city annually, offers a premium shopping experience with a wide range of products and services.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Zaher Abdulmajeed Khan, Leasing Manager at Jabal Omar Development Company, and Samer Sabra, Chief Asset Management Officer at Jabal Omar Development Company. Key dignitaries present included Ashraf Ali M.A., Executive Director of Lulu Group; Shehim Mohammed, Director of Lulu Saudi Hypermarkets; and Rafeek Mohammed Ali, Regional Director of Lulu Hypermarkets, Western Province, Saudi Arabia.

Ashraf Ali M.A. expressed pride in this achievement, stating:

The new store features diverse offerings, including an Express Supermarket, a Fresh Food section, Lulu Connect for mobile accessories and electronics, and a Fashion store showcasing an extensive range of collections. To enhance convenience, the store will operate 24/7, ensuring accessibility for customers during pilgrimage seasons and beyond.

This launch aligns with Lulu’s broader expansion strategy, with plans to open additional outlets in Makkah and Madinah in the coming months, reinforcing its commitment to serving the Kingdom’s communities and visitors.
