Malaysia

Nairobi, The Gulf Observer: Malaysia is committed to sharing its expertise to support Kenya’s economic and social development, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said during a state banquet hosted by President Dr. William Ruto on Sunday night.

Speaking at the event, held in conjunction with his two-day visit to Kenya, Prime Minister Anwar highlighted Kenya’s potential to emerge as a “star in Africa” under President Ruto’s leadership.

“There is no excuse whatsoever for Malaysia and Kenya not to work together to enhance our relations,” he stated. “Malaysia will share whatever expertise we have, including in the semiconductor and electrical and electronics sectors. With your determination, I believe you will be a star in Africa.”

Prime Minister Anwar expressed admiration for President Ruto’s resolve to drive national development and improve the lives of Kenyan citizens. “As a sincere friend, I truly believe that you have the resolve, tenacity, and conviction to make it work,” he said, noting Ruto’s focus on poverty alleviation and housing initiatives for the masses.

“This exemplifies the spirit of remarkable leadership, to use power and position to champion for the people,” Anwar added.

The state banquet was attended by Malaysia’s top officials, including Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, and Datuk Seri Amran Mohd Zin, further underscoring the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.
