Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Millions of Iranians took to the streets across the country on International Quds Day to express solidarity with Palestine and condemn the Israeli regime’s actions against the Palestinian people. The rallies, held in cities, towns, and villages across Iran, witnessed significant participation from government officials, military leaders, and citizens.

President Masoud Pezeshkian joined demonstrators on Tehran’s Enqelab Avenue, while high-ranking military officials, including Commander of the IRGC Quds Force Brigadier General Esmail Qaani and Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, also took part in the nationwide demonstrations.

The annual Quds Day rallies, established in 1979 by Imam Khomeini, are observed on the last Friday of Ramadan to highlight the Palestinian cause. This year, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had emphasized the increased significance of the event, urging the Iranian people to participate in large numbers.

Addressing rallygoers in Tehran, Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf condemned Israel’s actions, labeling it a “killing machine” of the U.S. Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei reiterated Iran’s unwavering support for Palestine, calling it a fundamental principle of the country’s foreign policy. Zainab Nasrallah, daughter of Hezbollah’s former leader Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, also addressed the demonstrators, reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to resistance.

According to Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, rallies were held in 900 cities and hundreds of villages across the country.

At the conclusion of the demonstrations, participants issued a final statement, emphasizing that Palestine remains the foremost issue of the Islamic world. They condemned genocide, apartheid, and forced displacement while demanding international action to prosecute Israeli leaders and ensure humanitarian aid reaches Gaza.

The statement further asserted that Israel’s decline is inevitable, describing its fall as a historical necessity in the broader transformation of regional and global dynamics.
