Mirziyoyev New Era Enlightenment

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: In a momentous event heralding a new chapter in Uzbekistan’s cultural and educational landscape, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev initiated the commencement of construction for a series of transformative structures on April 3, 2024. The auspicious occasion, held during the holy month of Ramadan, marked the beginning of a visionary endeavor aimed at fostering knowledge, enlightenment, and cultural enrichment within the nation.

Addressing dignitaries and attendees at the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev underscored the historic significance of the initiative. He articulated, “Today, we will lay the foundation stone for the campuses of ‘New Uzbekistan’ University and Tashkent State Pedagogical University, the National Library, the National Theater, the international research center named after Alisher Navoi, the Museum of Literature, the creative school, and the National Status Center. It is not for nothing that the construction of a new city begins with places of science and spirituality. These will be the basis and example of our idea of building an enlightened society.”

At the heart of this ambitious undertaking lies the profound belief that education serves as the cornerstone of societal advancement. Accordingly, the initial phases of construction will witness the establishment of state-of-the-art campuses for Tashkent State Pedagogical University and “New Uzbekistan” University. These educational hubs will feature modern infrastructure to accommodate 20,000 and 10,000 students, respectively, along with comprehensive amenities such as dormitories, kindergartens, schools, and academic facilities.

Additionally, pivotal cultural institutions including the National Library, the National Theater, and the Museum of Literature will be meticulously crafted to foster artistic expression, preserve national heritage, and provide platforms for intellectual discourse. The development of a spiritual complex, comprising the international research center named after Alisher Navoi, a school of creativity, and a center of national status, further underscores Uzbekistan’s commitment to nurturing the spiritual and intellectual growth of its populace.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the pivotal role these complexes will play in shaping Uzbekistan’s future, remarking, “The foundations of which are being laid today will serve to enrich the spirituality of our people for many years, to educate our young people as mature and well-rounded individuals. I believe that the new city of Tashkent will make a great contribution to becoming a real center of science and culture not only in our country, but also in our region.”

With the symbolic activation of construction, President Mirziyoyev embarked on a transformative journey towards realizing a vision of enlightenment, knowledge, and cultural vibrancy for the people of Uzbekistan. This landmark initiative heralds a new era of progress and prosperity, positioning Uzbekistan as a beacon of intellectual and cultural advancement on the global stage.
