Mohsin Naqvi Meets Turkiye’s Defense Minister Yasar Guler in Istanbul
Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: During a visit to Istanbul on Wednesday, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Turkiye’s Minister of Defense, Yasar Guler, amidst the International Expo. The meeting highlighted both nations’ commitment to enhancing their cooperative relationship across various sectors.
Minister Guler expressed gratitude to Minister Naqvi for attending the International Expo, emphasizing the role of such events in fostering international partnerships. In response, Naqvi extended a formal invitation to Guler to attend the Ideas Expo in Pakistan, aimed at showcasing regional innovation and development.
The discussions covered a range of mutual interests, with both ministers stressing the importance of boosting trade and cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye. They recognized the positive momentum in bilateral relations and expressed a joint commitment to exploring further collaboration, particularly in beneficial sectors.
A significant point of discussion was the potential for increasing meat exports from Pakistan to Turkiye, with Guler assuring Naqvi of full support for facilitating these exports. Naqvi welcomed this support, underscoring the importance of agricultural and food products in their broader economic partnership.
Minister Naqvi also highlighted the need for regular mutual visits to establish sustainable cooperation, stating, “Establishing a strong foundation for bilateral cooperation requires ongoing dialogue and interaction at multiple levels.”

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Turkish government and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye, Dr. Yusuf Jind, further emphasizing the high-level nature of this diplomatic dialogue.
