Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Morocco’s women’s national football team delivered a strong performance with a 3-1 victory over Tunisia in a friendly match held Friday at the Père Jégo Stadium in Casablanca.

Yasmine Lamrabet broke the deadlock with a goal in the 39th minute, giving the Atlas Lionesses the lead going into halftime. Although Tunisia equalized shortly after the break through Sabah Cheikh in the 48th minute, Morocco quickly regained control. Ibtissam Jraidi restored the lead in the 50th minute, and Iman El Ghazouani sealed the win just five minutes later with a well-placed third goal.

This match is part of Morocco’s preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which the country is set to host this summer. The national team is intensifying its training and competitive readiness through a series of international friendlies.

Up next, Morocco will face Cameroon on April 8 in another high-profile friendly, as the squad continues to fine-tune its strategy and lineup ahead of the continental tournament.

Last month, the Moroccan side also defeated Ghana 1-0 in another preparatory match, signaling a solid build-up to WAFCON and raising hopes for a strong performance on home soil.
