Oman Wins Health Competence Commitment Award at Annual Misk Ceremony in Makkah

Makkah, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has been honored with the prestigious Health Competence Commitment Award, presented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the Annual Misk closing ceremony held in Makkah.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Guests of Allah Service Programme, recognized Hajj Affairs Offices and non-profit entities that demonstrated exceptional service to pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1446 Hijri.
Oman’s Hajj Mission received the award in recognition of the high-quality health services provided to Omani pilgrims throughout the season. The mission was accompanied by a specialized medical delegation comprising doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff from Oman’s Ministry of Health. The team operated a fully equipped clinic to offer integrated medical care in direct coordination with relevant Saudi authorities.
The award reflects the Sultanate’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and safety of its pilgrims, and the dedication of its healthcare professionals who serve during the annual pilgrimage.
During the ceremony, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabia’a, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, also presented the initial planning documents for Hajj Affairs Offices in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season of 1447 Hijri. The initiative aims to enhance readiness and improve services for pilgrims in the years ahead.
In his address, the Minister commended the concerted efforts of government and civil society entities, particularly the Hajj Affairs Offices, for their instrumental role in the success of this year’s pilgrimage operations.
