Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said Passes Away

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Diwan of Royal Court has announced the passing of Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Oman, on Thursday morning, March 12, 2026.

According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the Diwan of the Royal Court issued a statement mourning the senior statesman and highlighting his decades of dedicated service to the nation.

“With hearts that surrender to the will and decree of Almighty Allah, the Diwan of the Royal Court mourns HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, who passed away this morning, Thursday, the 22nd of Ramadan 1447 AH, corresponding to March 12, 2026,” the statement said.

The statement noted that the late deputy prime minister devoted his life to serving the homeland with loyalty and dedication, contributing significantly to the country’s development since the early days of Oman’s blessed Renaissance.

Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said was widely respected for his longstanding role in government and for his contributions to strengthening the institutions of the Sultanate and advancing national progress.
