Oman’s Osaka Expo 2025 participation celebrated at reception
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The General Commission of the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Muscat, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in the Sultanate of Oman, held a special reception on the occasion of the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025, which is scheduled to be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025 on the Japanese island of Osaka.
The ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
His Excellency the Minister of Commerce , Industry and Investment Promotion said that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 in Osaka reflects our commitment to strengthening industry, trade and international relations. It is an important opportunity to showcase our diverse economic, industrial and commercial capabilities, in addition to being an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish strategic partnerships with participating countries.
His Excellency stressed that the Sultanate of Oman has been an interesting investment destination since ancient times, and its historical and economic ties and travel have extended to various countries of the world, and this is what the main message of participation in Expo 2025 embodies“.
The Minister of Commerce , Industry and Investment Promotion expressed his hope that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this global exhibition will contribute to enhancing its international standing and economic reputation, attracting investments and expanding trade and investment relations with participating countries.
His Excellency Yamamoto Gota, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman, expressed his happiness with the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this international exhibition, which will be an excellent opportunity to deepen the introduction of the Sultanate of Oman to the Japanese and the international community, and to learn about the future visions of the Sultanate of Oman in all fields.
His Excellency Sayyed Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Commissioner General of the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, explained that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this global forum, which comes under the slogan “Designing the Future Society for Our Lives,” is a true expression of the ambitious vision and desire to promote progress and sustainable development in various fields, and it reflects the efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman to achieve sustainable development goals.
His Excellency pointed out that Expo 2025 represents a unique global platform for displaying achievements, exchanging experiences, enhancing international cooperation, and forming partnerships with countries participating in the exhibition.
During the ceremony, three film materials were presented about the ties extending between the Sultanate of Oman and Japan, the idea of the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion in Expo 2025 Osaka, the ceremony announcing the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka in Tokyo in November 2023, and a visual presentation of the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Youth, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, His Excellency the Commissioner General of the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 and a number of Their Excellencies, and officials from government and private agencies.
