Pakistan and Iran to Implement Barter Mechanism, Accelerate Free Trade Agreement

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, announced on Monday that a barter mechanism between Tehran and Islamabad will be implemented soon, while both countries are expediting the execution of the Pakistan-Iran Free Trade Agreement.
Speaking on recent developments, Ambassador Mudassir Tipu highlighted the promising trade potential between the two neighboring nations, which was discussed in recent bilateral meetings. He emphasized that the barter mechanism will soon become operational, facilitating enhanced bilateral trade.
In addition, Ambassador Mudassir Tipu confirmed that a 12-member Iranian delegation will visit Pakistan to participate in the International Agribusiness and Food Industry Exhibition, scheduled to begin in Karachi on 25 November 2025. The delegation will be accompanied by the commercial and investment attaché from the Pakistani Embassy, ensuring close coordination during the visit.
These initiatives reflect Islamabad and Tehran’s shared commitment to strengthening economic ties and enhancing trade and investment cooperation.
