Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Reaffirm Commitment to Regional Peace and Strategic Coordination

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday, with both sides holding comprehensive discussions on promoting peace and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Muhammad Asim Malik, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
During the warm and cordial meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a heartfelt welcome to the Saudi Foreign Minister and conveyed his respectful regards to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He also conveyed warm greetings for Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom, the Prime Minister appreciated Saudi Arabia’s measured and responsible approach amid the ongoing regional crisis. He underscored that Pakistan would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in all circumstances.
Recalling his recent engagements with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, including their meeting in Jeddah on March 12, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic outreach during the current crisis. He briefed the visiting dignitary on Islamabad’s mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation, including initiatives to bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table.
Emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s pivotal leadership role in the Muslim Ummah, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of unity among Islamic countries at this critical juncture.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and shared Saudi Arabia’s perspective on the evolving regional situation.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and consultation to advance shared objectives of peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
