Passing Out Parade Marks the Completion of Basic Military Training for RBAF Recruits

Penanjong Garrison, The Gulf Observer: The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a grand Passing Out Parade Ceremony yesterday at the Parade Square, Penanjong Garrison, celebrating the successful completion of Basic Military Training by 124 male recruits of the 175th Intake and 46 female recruits of the 59th Intake of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF).

Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, officiated as the guest of honour. In his address, he underscored the importance of the RBAF’s core values, discipline, and physical, mental, and spiritual resilience as fundamental pillars of military careers.

The acting commander also reminded the recruits of their vital responsibility in safeguarding the sovereignty, peace, and security of Brunei Darussalam. He extended his heartfelt congratulations on their achievement and urged them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity as they embark on their journey as members of the RBAF.

As part of the ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding recruits and instructors in recognition of their exemplary performances during the training.

For the male recruits of the 175th Intake:

  • Overall Best Recruit: Recruit (U) Muhammad Harith bin Dahlan
  • Best in Military Skills: Recruit Mohammad Syazwan bin Mohammad Khairulannuar
  • Best in Light Weapon Training: Recruit Md Shahezzul bin Sariman
  • Best in Physical Training: Recruit Muhammad Illiya Wafiuddin bin Abdullah Romie

For their exceptional leadership and commitment, the following instructors were also honoured:

  • Best Section Commander Award: Corporal Muhamad Far’an bin Hamdani@Lileysurayani
  • Best Platoon Sergeant Award: Corporal Mohammad Khairul Azwan bin Abd Hamid

For the female recruits of the 59th Intake:

  • Overall Best Recruit: Recruit Multazamah Siti Zuhairah binti Zulkifli
  • Best in Military Skills: Recruit Nuha Nadzirah binti Abdullah Md Salleh
  • Best in Light Weapon Training: Recruit Ummi Shuheida binti Mohd Nurfadillah
  • Best in Physical Training: Recruit Nursyafiqah Nabilah binti Mohammad Haslan

The ceremony marked a proud moment for the RBAF as the recruits concluded their rigorous training, signifying their readiness to serve Brunei Darussalam with dedication and excellence.
