PIA will launch direct flights from Pakistan to Uzbekistan soon

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: PIA Direct flights between Uzbekistan and Pakistan will be launched in the near future, Radio Pakistan reports.

PIA direct flights will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral ties in the field of economy and tourism.

At the first stage, flights from Samarkand to Lahore will be launched. Then flights to Islamabad and Karachi from other Uzbek cities will be launched.

In December 2021, representatives of the Pakistani airline PIA held negotiations with the Uzbek Ministry of Transport on the launch of regular flights. Then it was planned to launch the flights in January 2022, along the “Islamabad – Tashkent” and “Karachi – Tashkent” routes.
