PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Regional Situation, Reaffirm Commitment to Stronger Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the regional situation and ongoing developments.

Expressing Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Kingdom, the prime minister underscored the imperative of maintaining regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasized the need for unity and harmony among the ranks of the Ummah in the face of prevailing regional and global challenges, according to a press statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.

During what was described as a very warm and cordial discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his respectful regards and good wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. The prime minister also thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his continued warmth and affection towards Pakistan.

Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the long-standing fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which they noted had reached new heights in recent months.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in turn, thanked the prime minister for the telephone call and reiterated the Kingdom’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest. He also expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the coming year.
