PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Regional Situation, Stress De-escalation and Unity of Ummah

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which he briefed the Saudi leadership on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.

During the “warm and cordial” conversation held early Wednesday morning, the prime minister underscored Pakistan’s constructive engagement with all relevant parties, urging de-escalation of tensions and resolution of differences through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Saudi crown prince appreciated Pakistan’s proactive and peace-oriented efforts in the current regional situation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s complete solidarity and unequivocal support for the Kingdom and its people in these challenging times.

Commending the Saudi leadership for exercising remarkable restraint amid the ongoing crisis, the prime minister reiterated that Pakistan would always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kingdom and its brotherly people, just as Saudi Arabia has consistently supported Pakistan through difficult times.

The prime minister also called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and emphasized the need to restore normalcy in order to ensure regional stability. He further highlighted the importance of unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah, stressing that collective solidarity was more crucial than ever.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the crown prince, and the people of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman reciprocated the Eid greetings and conveyed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.
