Premier Li Qiang Meets Kyrgyz President Japarov to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with visiting Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing on Wednesday, reinforcing the strong and rapidly developing ties between China and Kyrgyzstan.

Li emphasized that, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral relations have flourished in recent years, with strengthened mutual trust, enhanced cooperation, and deep-rooted friendly exchanges between the two peoples.

China is committed to working with Kyrgyzstan to implement the important consensus reached by their presidents, firmly supporting each other on core interests, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors, Li stated. He highlighted China’s willingness to align development strategies with Kyrgyzstan, focusing on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, advancing key infrastructure projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, and fostering new areas of collaboration in mining, green energy, and scientific innovation.

Li also reaffirmed China’s commitment to multilateral cooperation, pledging to work closely with Kyrgyzstan within the United Nations, the China-Central Asia mechanism, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to enhance regional peace, stability, and development.

President Japarov expressed Kyrgyzstan’s strong commitment to its comprehensive strategic partnership with China and its willingness to strengthen high-level exchanges. He emphasized the desire to deepen cooperation in connectivity, agriculture, finance, mining, science and technology, tourism, and people’s livelihood development. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of fostering youth and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Japarov welcomed increased Chinese investment in Kyrgyzstan and assured that his country would provide a safe and conducive business environment for Chinese enterprises.
