Premier Li Qiang to Visit Pakistan for SCO Heads of Government Meeting
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Premier Li Qiang is set to attend the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad. He will also undertake an official visit to Pakistan from October 14 to 17, at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
The announcement was made by foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Sunday, highlighting the significance of the meeting and the visit in strengthening bilateral ties between China and Pakistan, as well as enhancing cooperation within the SCO framework.
During his visit, Premier Li is expected to engage in discussions focused on economic collaboration, regional security, and various initiatives aimed at fostering mutual development between the two nations. The SCO meeting will also serve as a platform for participating member states to address pressing regional issues and promote collective interests.
