President Emomali Rahmon Opens 90 Facilities in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, remotely commissioned 90 facilities of various purposes constructed in the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) in honor of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence.

In Khorugh, eight facilities were commissioned, including the solid household waste processing and packaging plant of Atrofi Toza LLC, creating 10 jobs; the Panacea medicinal herbs processing plant, with six permanent and 80 seasonal jobs; the concrete production plant of Somoni Davr LLC, providing 10 jobs; the Shirinjon private kindergarten for 100 children; the Dilnoza private kindergarten for 60 children with six jobs; the Risolat preschool institution for 60 children with 12 jobs; and a modern sports complex providing 20 jobs.

During the event, six road projects of international and national significance currently under construction, reconstruction and asphalt paving in GBAO were also presented.

In the Darvoz district, President Emomali Rahmon remotely inaugurated 11 facilities, further contributing to the development and appearance of the district. These included the Darvoz Aqua LLC drinking water production plant with 30 jobs; a preschool institution for 50 children; another preschool for 60 children in Kurgovad village of Vishkharv rural community; a drinking water production facility of the Industrial and Technological Innovation Park with six jobs; the Pamir Silk Road Hotel, accommodating up to 30 guests and creating 10 jobs; five modern hotels in Zev village of Qalai Khumb rural community, with a combined capacity of up to 150 guests and 20 jobs; and Taj Korea LLC, engaged in fish farming and packaging, with 25 jobs.

In Vanj district, 12 facilities were commissioned, including a medical station in Sadvadg village with four jobs; a district food safety and diagnostic center for 24 employees; Secondary School No. 32 with a capacity of 100 students per shift; the Afsona preschool in Andarbek village for 60 children; the new Amina preschool in Udob village for 60 children; the Abuabdulloh Rudaki Culture and Recreation Park; three service centers with production workshops and a hotel in the district center, providing 14 jobs; the Durakhshandagon preschool for 60 children in Lugad village; a preschool for 60 children in Rovand village; and the Chashmai Donish preschool for 60 children.

In Rushon district, 12 facilities were put into operation, including a 112-kilowatt solar power plant in Vranjan village; a 25-kilowatt small hydropower plant in Bijrav village; a 15-kilowatt hydropower plant in Devlokh village; a sports ground in the district center providing 10 jobs; an industrial facility for packaging dried fruits and mulberries with 20 jobs; and a 110-kilovolt power transmission line extending over 42 kilometers.

In Roshtqala district, 15 facilities of various purposes were remotely inaugurated. They included the Khiradmandon state preschool in Shoshbuvod village for 60 children; the Chehrai Fardo state preschool for 60 children; a preschool institution for 50 children; Secondary School No. 24 for 144 students studying in two shifts; an industrial park comprising nine workshops; a modern greenhouse for vegetable cultivation; and a preschool institution with a capacity of 200 children.

In Shughnon district, the President remotely inaugurated 16 facilities, including Preschool No. 10 named Ganji Millat for 60 children; a 3-megawatt solar power plant in Rozh village; the Shughnon Industrial Park comprising six industrial workshops and creating 40 jobs; a modern greenhouse and fish-farming pond in Pashor village; a preschool institution in Nishus village for 30 children; the Durakhshandagon preschool for 60 children; Private Preschool No. 2 named Nasli Istiqlol for 80 children; and Preschool No. 7 Mehr-i Peshvo for 60 children.

In Ishkoshim district, nine facilities were commissioned during the President’s working visit. These included Preschool No. 5 for 60 children; four new modern greenhouses creating seven jobs; an industrial park providing 80 jobs; and the historic Yamchun Fortress following renovation.

In the remote Murghob district, four facilities were constructed and commissioned in celebration of the anniversary of independence. They included a new building for the district department of the State Committee for National Security; the Parastu preschool for 60 children; the Durakhshon preschool for 100 children; a new building for the district tax inspectorate; and two experimental wind power plants with a combined capacity of 200 kilowatts.

It is noteworthy that, as part of President Emomali Rahmon’s working visit to the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, an additional 185 facilities of various purposes were also commissioned, in addition to the 90 facilities inaugurated remotely.

The commissioning of the facilities represents part of Tajikistan’s preparations to mark the 35th anniversary of State Independence and reflects ongoing efforts to expand social, industrial, energy, educational and infrastructure facilities across GBAO.
