Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan conveyed warm Christmas greetings to Christians worldwide, expressing heartfelt wishes for peace, happiness, and well-being in a statement issued on Wednesday by Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.

“On the occasion of Christmas, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our citizens who follow the Christian faith,” President Erdogan stated, underscoring his administration’s dedication to fostering unity and mutual respect.

Erdogan highlighted Türkiye’s historical legacy of inclusivity, affirming that the nation remains committed to upholding equality among its citizens, regardless of origin, race, language, religion, or sect. “As in the history of our civilisation, we remain steadfast in ensuring that everyone can live freely according to their own culture, religion, and traditions,” he said.

The president also pointed to Türkiye’s geographic role as a sanctuary for those seeking refuge from war, oppression, and persecution. Despite regional conflicts and instability, Türkiye continues to stand as a beacon of peace and harmony, ensuring a secure and prosperous future for all its citizens, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.
