President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Cuban President on Liberation Day

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba, on the occasion of the country’s national holiday, Liberation Day.

In his message, President Aliyev expressed confidence that Azerbaijan–Cuba relations, built on strong and longstanding traditions, would continue to develop in a spirit of friendship and cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels, in line with the interests of the two nations.

“I believe that Azerbaijan–Cuba relations, built on good traditions, will continue to advance in a spirit of friendship and cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally, in line with the interests of our peoples,” the head of state said.

Availing himself of the opportunity, President Aliyev also extended his congratulations and best wishes to President Díaz-Canel on the occasion of the New Year 2026, wishing him robust health and success in his endeavors, and conveying hopes for lasting peace and prosperity for the friendly people of Cuba.
