President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Azerbaijanis’ Commitment to Unity and Peaceful Coexistence
Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized that Azerbaijanis have never been afflicted by the “disease of separatism,” underscoring their longstanding tradition of loyalty and contribution to the nations in which they reside.
Speaking at the conference marking the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in Baku, President Aliyev stated, “Our people have contributed to the statehood of the countries they live in, and today, in no country do Azerbaijanis create or will create problems for any state or any other people.”
The Head of State further noted that the prospective return of Azerbaijanis to the territory of present-day Armenia should not cause concern. “The return of Azerbaijanis to present-day Armenia should not frighten the Armenian people and state,” President Aliyev said, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among nations.
