President Ilham Aliyev Presented with Advanced JF-17C (Block-III) Fighter Jets

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev was officially presented with the advanced JF-17C (Block-III) multirole fighter jets today at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The state-of-the-art aircraft, developed in a joint venture between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra and Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation of China, are now integrated into the Azerbaijani Air Force, enhancing the country’s defense capabilities, NHC reports.

During the ceremony, Defense Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, formally reported to President Aliyev on the incorporation of the new jets into the Air Force arsenal. The event also featured a briefing from Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister and Air Vice Marshal Hakim Raza, Chairman of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board, who provided comprehensive details on the JF-17C’s tactical and technical specifications, operational guidelines, and key performance metrics.

The JF-17C (Block-III) is recognized as a lightweight, all-weather, single-engine combat aircraft capable of both day and night operations. Known for its air-to-air and air-to-ground combat effectiveness, the aircraft stands out for its high maneuverability at medium and low altitudes, making it particularly valuable for precision strikes and effective firepower in various operational scenarios.

This acquisition marks a significant advancement in Azerbaijan’s military modernization efforts, further strengthening the nation’s defense readiness and operational flexibility.
