President Mirziyoyev casts the vote
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Presidential Candidate from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited polling station No. 59 in Tashkent on July 9 and voted in the elections.
As is known, following the referendum held on April 30 this year, the renewed Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted, which consolidated the country’s status as a legal, secular, and social state and increased the obligations of state bodies. The renewed Constitution put forward new political and socio-economic tasks for the state authorities.
In this regard, the Mirziyoyev addressed the people and, in accordance with Article 128 of the Constitution, called Early Presidential Election. This decision was supported by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, political parties, and members of the public.
The Central Election Commission registered candidates from 4 political parties. 14 constituencies and 19,000 polling stations were formed. All candidates have equal and free conditions for participation in the elections.
Presidential elections are an important political event that is of decisive importance for the current life and future of the country and the well-being of people. Deeply aware of this, citizens are actively participating in the elections.
749 observers from 47 states and 15 authoritative international organizations are observing the elections. The media is widely covering the voting process.
