In a broader context, the collective contribution of these enterprises to the overall industry has grown from 10 to 17 percent over the past 6 years. In terms of budget revenues, their share has risen significantly from 11 to 25 percent.

Against the backdrop of Uzbekistan’s ambitious goal to double its economy by 2030, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the pressing need to enhance the efficiency of these strategic entities, especially given the intensified global competition. The president highlighted the transformative potential of engaging foreign experts, incorporating digital solutions, and embracing green technologies within the metallurgical sector.

President Mirziyoyev issued explicit directives to optimize operational costs, reduce energy consumption, and streamline expenditure. Additionally, emphasis was placed on elevating labor productivity within the plants and introducing key performance indicators (KPIs) into the management and specialist activities.
